VAFS 4 version 26 introduced some important new functionalities which all crews should be aware of. FIrst and the most important - every aircraft can depart only from the place of it's last landing. This means that, before deciding which flight you will fly next, you should check position of the fleet and choose the airplane that you want to fly first. Also, equally important - scheduled flights in the system are now available only on the correct day of operation (means flight scheduled on day 3 - wednesday. will be available only on wednesday. Obviously, with more restrictive rules (that SEA was actively advocating for the past years) in VAFS, our schedule will have to be adapted and possibly changed to fit the new requirements. One thing is sure, chosing your next flight is not anymore so simple - now you have to put a bit of attention in this part of the flight preparation. Our new operations control system, as well as VAFS 4 client are offering all tools you may need to check position of the fleet, chose the flight and finally send the automatic post-flight report to SEA HDQ. Check new VAFS User Guide in our library for more information. |
