As known, our Safety Reporting system is a unique in VA world. Mirroring precisely the non-punitive reporting policy concept found in the airline world, our crews can experience themselves how this system works in real life. Anonymous reports about any occurrence or flight incident are entered in the database clearly explaining how and why things went wrong. SEA Safety Officer will than, after the assessment of each individual report, issue the recommendation or detailed analyses of the occurrence and all contributing factors that led to the incident. For all crews, these reports are valuable share-of-experience which will, most probably save them for ending in the similar situation in the future. All pilots are kindly asked to use the online safety reporting tool and check, from time to time, latest entries in the safety database.
