Facing the steady growth for 5th year in a row, SEA Group is facing new challenges on organisational level.

Fact is, while small, niche VA was easily managed from the central HDQ, constantly expanding VA suffers by not being able to answer the growing demand for local presence (and proper representation) on local forums and communities at many destinations and regions where we fly regularly.

The best solution to mitigate the deficiencies and assure we have infrastructure to answer the needs in the future is to develop further the regional management structure.

Always willing to explore the new concepts, SEA Group will this time create the ground and open unique playground for the most creative and passionate in the group.

Opening the "local offices" and setting up the management, while at the same time, loosing the grip on strict, centralised management, our future regional mangers will have great independence in developing, promoting and lobying for their concept of local development. At the same time, they will also have to keep in mind the standards and overall requirements of the group when they create their own "little kingdom".

While fully supported by SEA HDQ, which will "finance" the good concepts and assign fleet capacity according to the development plan established by the regional manager, every proposed (and approved) programme will have to show results in order to stay "online".

"We see our regional management concept as a key for the future development and important step forward in the Group reaching the totally new level. Our managers will have opened hands but will have to show the results and prove their concepts are working. Failure of the concept will mean that they should give to someone else. It's becoming the playground not only for VA pilots and operations but also for VA management" - said T. Zorman on introduction of the regional management 2010+ programme.
